Texturing a lego car in Maya

Following up from putting the lego bricks together into a car, we mainly covered how to texture them properly in todays lesson. Before textures to be added we pt down a ground plain and a directional light source which created light and shadows. Preset textures for plastic, rubber and glass where then applied to the relevant places. For the most part these materials only required that a color was added to them but the glass was a little more complicated. To see a good render of the car it had to be brought up in the Arnold rendering generator as is shown in the picture. However by default glass will not appear transparent without a few extra tweaks. In the settings the opaque option needs to be turned off and there weight reduced to zero. I found the texturing part of the lesson easy, no problems there. The riging was a different story as I found that difficult to do.
