City 1 Armillia thumbnails

These are thumbnails for the city Armillia which was described as being a city of pipes, sinks and baths where the houses should be. This would imply there are no buildings but I decided to ignore that. The people of Armillia where described as being Nymphs or Naiads so I thought this could be a more of a matriarchy but they where also described as basically spending all there time in the water. As of such I decided that the city would be separated into several bath shaped areas filled with water as shown in number 5, each area would have buildings submerged where there homes and facility would be as shown in 3 and 7. Each bath would be connected by pipes hence the pipe part that they would travel between a bit like motorways as shown in number 6. There would be one pipe for each way that they could swim between or I thought they could have submarine type vehicles to act as buses. The city could be designed as a fountain as shown in number 2, each layer representing a social class leading to the top where the palace could be. The people where described as always singing which for some reason singing and water makes me think of opera so I drew the potential inside of the opera house in number 4. Initially the biggest challenge I have found is getting getting the ideas as I see them on to paper which I assume will get better as I need to do at least one-hundred of these. I am also not use to drawing strait onto the screen digitally which dosent help the quality either.
